I am a UX designer and front-end developer.
I have a background in working with people with language disorders, giving me a unique perspective on working as a front-end developer. Imagine a baby, not making sounds as it should, and not developing language as it should. This has taught me the importance in understanding the small intricacies of language, and how to start from nothing and create something incredible.
Imagine an older child with difficulty reading or interacting with friends. From this, I have learned how to delve deep into their language, finding a subtle issue that is making something not quite right. When a code is not rendering as it should, I have a passion for diving in and figuring out why.
Next imagine an adult who has had a stroke and had their language system wiped away. Working with these people has taught me that, even when frustrated, calm determination will get results. While learning to code seems daunting at times, I've learned how rewarding perseverance can be.
Collaborating with the family members of these individuals has given me the chance to be part of a team that is working tirelessly to make a significant difference. This is why I want to work for a startup. I want to be surrounded by passionate people, all working together to solve a big problem.
